Mobile Nanobots for Prevention of Root Canal Treatment Failure (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 14/2022)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Root Canal Treatment canal treatments fail due to remnant bacteria in the tubules of dentine tissue human teeth. In article number 2200232 by Ambarish Ghosh and co-workers, magnetic nanobots can target pathogens deep inside dentine, thereby reducing bacterial load preventing failure root treatment. This technique reduce global burden oral diseases.

Failure of Root Canal Treatment
Root canal retreatment is often the preferred method of treating a tooth in which root canal treatment has failed. Part one of this two-part article discusses reasons for failure of root canal treatment, case assessment and treatment planning. Part two describes some of the practical techniques that are available to the practitioner and the rationale for root canal retreatment. Dent Update 2004...

Non surgical root canal treatment is carried out to salvage the teeth in oral cavity. Although the success rate is found to be ranging from 81-95%, for variety of reasons failure of root canal is still seen in day to day practice. This is a cross sectional study done in Nepali population to evaluate the causes for such failures. It was found that inadequate obturation (45%) was the major cause ...
متن کاملMetamaterials: Snapping Mechanical Metamaterials under Tension (Adv. Mater. 39/2015).
By exploiting snap-through instabilities, D. Pasini and co-workers design a damage-tolerant mechanical metamaterial that snaps sequentially under tension, thereby accommodating a very large deformation up to 150%. On page 5931, they describe how the nonlinear mechanical response of the metamaterial can be robustly programmed by tuning the architecture of its unit cell.
متن کاملNew terms for categorizing the outcome of root canal treatment.
Dear Editor Various terms have been used to categorize the outcomes of root canal treatment. ‘Success’ and ‘failure’ are the most popular terms that are used, but ‘healing’ and ‘healed’ have been suggested (Friedman & Mor 2004). ‘Success’ means ‘the accomplishment of an aim or purpose’ (Oxford Dictionary). According to most endodontic textbooks, the purpose of root canal treatment is to prevent...
